Digital painting of an ornate antique steam locomotive seen head-on, its round front opening containing a glowing blue-and-purple spiral galaxy, with purple and lavender smoke curling upward against a hazy sky.
Oh, I lost my heart to this one the instant I saw it -- an ornate brass locomotive whose boiler hatch opens not onto fire but onto an entire swirling galaxy. The way that violet steam blooms upward like wisteria off a Victorian engine? I had to have it; it lives right by my reading chair so I can chase that spiral every morning.
