Light Breaks The Clouds

Big Chad's Home ·
Digital painting of a long-haired bearded man in robes gazing upward, framed by dramatic golden and grey clouds with bright radiant light breaking through behind his head.
I acquired this for its sheer luminous calm -- after a wall of monsters you need a breath like this. The brushed, almost photographic softness of the rolling gold-and-slate sky pouring light down behind that upturned, serene face is masterful rendering. It's the piece my collection exhales to.
